Vestavia Forest Kitchen Remodel - New Cabinets and Flooring!

The two most impactful elements were added this week to the kitchen remodel: the cabinetry and the flooring!

The family wanted hardwood flooring to replace tile in the kitchen and carpeting in the next room that's now part of the kitchen.  It was stained to match.

The kitchen got all new cabinets.  But more importantly, they got an island!

Now for the countertops which are being made ready for installation.

Vestavia Forest Kitchen Remodel - Demo and Lighting

Today we would like to share with you the start of a new and exciting renovation!  This is a really great house in Vestavia Hills involving a brand new kitchen and keeping room.

This sweet family is updating an already current kitchen, but it wasn't exactly what they dreamed of.  They called us to see what the possibilities would be.

After meeting with our contractor, Sam,  the owners decided to go ahead with their plans. Now this kitchen is ready to be transformed into the reality they have planned!

The kitchen will be totally redone.  The flooring will be replaced with hardwood to match the rest of the home.  Lighting will also be added.

They have a keeping room right next to the kitchen that will get new flooring and lighting.  It will create a more seamless look to this space right away.

The first order of business will be the demolition.  After that the new recessed lighting will be added to the adjacent keeping room.

The ceiling on the left of the space will get new lighting.

As you can see, the room area to the left has no recessed lighting.  Below is the new lighting.

Next up the hardwood flooring will be put down throughout. It will be a 1.25 inch red oak to match the flooring in the other areas of the home.

The owners are very excited about their new flooring and lighting.  It is looking great already.
